De Visser is multitalented, but focuses on oil painting pictures and charcoal drawings. De Visser combines elements throughout art history and makes them bigger into 21th century contemporary art. She does not aim to repeat what has been done before but uses the old and proven techniques to bring a balance between eternity and the fragility of the current moment. By doing so, De Visser makes het work timeless.
“There are many small moments that turn out to be big when you paint them.”
De Vissers techniques seem to change with every painting. Sometimes impressionistic, sometimes realistic, but always with an eye aimed at the masters from before. The subjects of her work are very divers; from beautifully painted swans to a girl in a classical pose in kimono. Although often quite dark toned, her work never lacks a colorful element. De Vissers great talent for making seemingly unremarkable subjects into very intriguing art hasn’t stayed unnoticed. Paintings from her hand have found their way into companies, individuals and organisations around the world. De Visser knows how to captures the essence of the smallest moments of our lives and turn these into moments of beauty and wonder.
